Who can choose

Choosing your own code is available from the power user level. The levels are:

User	Generated	Automatic, by trust
Power user	Can choose	Automatic, by trust
Moderator	Can choose	None
Admin	Can choose	None

Short, memorable codes go to whoever claims them first. Letting everyone pick would use up the good ones quickly and would produce codes that impersonate other services. So the level is raised by hand — get in touch if you need it.

Format

• 2–32 characters
• Letters, digits, hyphen (-), underscore (_) only
• Case-sensitive. Sale and sale are different links

Reserved names

Names the service itself uses cannot be codes, for two reasons.

• Paths the server claims first, like api or auth, would never reach your link even if stored. They become silently dead links.
• Names that look like they belong to the site, like admin or login, are used to impersonate. If cut.pe.kr/login led to someone else's sign-in page, the person receiving it would read it as ours.

Codes cannot be changed

Once set, a code stays. Links already shared would break, and a released code picked up by someone else would send those links elsewhere.
