Creating a link
From signing up to your first short address.
Signing up
Sign up with an email and password and a verification email is sent. Follow the link in it and you can start right away — there is no approval queue.
Until verification is finished you cannot sign in. This is what stops people signing up with someone else's address, and stops throwaway addresses being used to mass-produce spam links.
Creating a link
In the dashboard, enter a destination under Create a link and press Create.
- The target URL must be a full address starting with
http://orhttps://. - The note is optional and private. It makes links easier to find in the list.
- Leave the code empty and one is generated. Choosing your own is available from the power user level.
The new link appears at the top of the list, with a copy button for the short address.
Creating a second link to the same place
If you already have a link to that address, a dialog shows you the existing code. Keeping several links to the same destination is a legitimate thing to do, so it is not blocked — but it is usually a forgotten link, so we ask once.
