Storage permission

VXplorer is a file manager, so it needs All files access. On first launch it takes you to the system setting.

On Android 11 and above, go to Settings → Apps → Special app access → All files access and allow VXplorer. Without it, file lists appear empty and operations fail.

The App does not request the media-specific permissions (READ_MEDIA_*).

Getting around

Home dashboard — storage summary, favourites, recent locations
File list — the actual browser. Primary actions live in the bottom bar and sheets
Drawer — jump to storage volumes, network locations, and tools
Tabs — keep several locations open and switch between them

Foldables and tablets enable a dual-pane layout so you can view two locations side by side and drag between them.

Selecting files

Long-press to enter selection mode
Tap to add individual items, or use range select for many at once
Run copy, move, delete, compress and more from the bottom action bar

Recycle bin

Deleted local files move to the recycle bin, which records the original path and deletion time so you can restore them or delete permanently.

Note: the bin lives in a .VXplorer folder in shared storage. That folder survives uninstalling the App, so empty the bin before uninstalling if you want everything gone.
