Connecting to network servers
SMB, FTP, SFTP and WebDAV connections, cloud presets, and the device FTP server.
Supported protocols
| Protocol | Default port | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| SMB | 445 | SMB2/3 |
| FTP | 21 | Cleartext |
| FTPS | 21 | Explicit or implicit TLS |
| SFTP | 22 | Over SSH |
| WebDAV | 80 / 443 | Basic auth |
Adding a connection
Add a server from the Network section of the drawer and enter host, port, and credentials. Options include anonymous login, domain, encoding, implicit TLS, and a base path, and you can test the connection before saving.
Cloud presets
Presets are included for WebDAV-capable services:
- Nextcloud / ownCloud (self-hosted)
- Yandex Disk
- Mail.ru Cloud
- Box
- Koofr
- pCloud
Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive are OAuth-only and cannot be reached over WebDAV, so they are not included.
Finding servers on your network
Network discovery attempts connections to SMB (445), FTP (21), and SFTP (22) across your local subnet and lists hosts that respond. Results stay on your device.
Device FTP server
The reverse also works. Start the FTP server on the device and a PC on the same network can reach your phone's files using the address and credentials shown on screen.
The server keeps running until you stop it, so turn it off when you are done. Avoid running it on public Wi-Fi.
About stored passwords
Saved connection details are kept in app-private storage but are not encrypted, and they may be included in device backup if backup is enabled. Please bear that in mind for sensitive accounts.
